Alicia Sterud, MA, LPC-MH
Alicia Sterud is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Mental Health who maintains a private practice in Brookings, SD. Alicia has 15 years of clinical experience in treating adolescents, adults, and families through providing individual, couples, group, and family therapy. Alicia practices Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, and a number of other treatment approaches depending on the person or condition. Alicia has been trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapy to treat trauma and PTSD. Alicia also has extensive experience working with co-occurring disorders; the presence of both a mental health and a substance-use disorders.

Education: Alicia has earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL and a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University in Tampa, FL. Alicia is licensed by the State of South Dakota as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
